HE BOSTON GLOBE is a famous newspaper. (I know it’s famous because even someone like myself has heard of it.) Recently, our own Richard J. Clark was featured in the popular “Metro Section” of the Boston Globe. The article talks about his work as choirmaster and organist at the CATHEDRAL OF THE HOLY CROSS (mother church of the Archdiocese of Boston). The Cardinal Archbishop of Boston was quoted as saying: “We’ve very blessed to have Richard Clark. It is truly a ministry. And it’s an act of faith and worship for him.” As Father Valentine Young used to say: “At least I can say I know famous people!”

One of the singers at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross is quoted in the Boston Globe article:
“I’ve worked with many conductors and I find that Richard brings a musical expertise but also a patient and charitable joy. He’s kind and gentle. He’s demanding. But not in a derogatory way or in a way that makes you feel nervous about producing. He has a lighthearted way of getting the best out of us.”
